We are looking for a Freelance London-based Stage Manager for R&D of our debut show 'It's a Motherf**king Pleasure' (Winner of the LET Greenwich Theatre Award) 3 weeks @ £650 pw Paid Previews @ £150pd Availability from 28th July- 15th September Essential

Mainstream culture picks and chooses aspects of marginalised groups to be made cool or sexy but disability hasn't been made sexy... yet. 'It's a Motherf**king Pleasure' is an irreverent dark comedy looking at the pervasive monetisation of identity through the lens of disability. We will be making the show with integrated access at the core of the process. We will be developing the show over a 4 week period during August with work-in-progress showings at Greenwich Theatre in September.

We are looking for a Stage Manager to join us for the R&D for our show. As this is a devised process we are looking for someone to maintain and collate the script into an accessible format as well as general rehearsal room management and show operation.. You do not need to be experienced in disability-led theatre, just have a genuine interest and curiosity in making accessible work. As part of our project, all creatives will be paid to take part in our workshop on access tools in a rehearsal room.

  • To support any rehearsals including setting up the space in advance of each session.

  • To ensure call times are distributed in accordance with the schedule and liaising with the creative team and producer to ensure working hours remain within those agreed.

  • To be the main point of contact on site and in rehearsal rooms for the pastoral care of the performing company and stage management/tech team.

  • Maintain an updated script within a shifting rehearsal process in an accessible format and to share this will all creative team members.

  • To distribute rehearsal notes each day.

  • To source props and other materials as required.
